Job summary

Core Executive Recruiting LLC is seeking an experienced Building Engineer to support the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of a commercial office property in Phoenix, AZ. This hands-on role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, read drawings, and coordinate with property management and vendors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial building maintenance or equivalent training.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams; work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC equipment.
• Monitor building automation and energy management systems.
• Inspect and repair electrical systems including lighting and panels.
• Maintain plumbing systems including fixtures and pumps.
• Test fire and life safety systems and emergency generators.
• Respond to tenant requests and coordinate with management and vendors.
