Job summary

ABM is seeking a Building Engineer in Irvine, CA to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems. You will troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, schedule service calls, and escort vendors on-site to keep facilities safe and compliant.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and BAS, plus EPA refrigerant certification preferred. This is a day shift position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in building engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
• EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Address and resolve building system malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
• Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
• Escort vendors and contractors on-site, ensuring adherence to site protocols and safety requirements.
