Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer II for our Miami-area properties to manage, troubleshoot, and maintain complex HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, document activities, and oversee contractors while collaborating with tenants and managers to ensure reliable building operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, relevant licenses, and strong BAS knowledge, with on-site work and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering/trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with HVAC and BAS; familiarity with fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and work order systems/applications.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability for demanding tasks.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems independently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on critical building systems.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain records on building equipment.
• Manage service contractors during routine and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA/NFPA regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; assist in recovery during severe weather.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure reliable building operations.
• Work with senior engineers to develop skills; guide junior technicians; participate in training.
• Develop advanced proficiency with HVAC and BAS; familiarity with fire alarm and life safety systems.
