Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Tampa, FL is seeking a Building Engineer II to operate, monitor, and maintain complex building systems, with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. This role requires independent problem-solving and the ability to troubleshoot and repair systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document activities, and manage contractors. The position is in-office, with on-call responsibilities and opportunities to grow technical skills under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience or commensurate certification.
• Engineering and trade licenses required by local/state or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Advanced BAS proficiency; familiarity with fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Proficient with Outlook and work-order software for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems independently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on critical building systems.
• Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records on building equipment.
• Manage service contractors during routine and emergency repairs.
• Support safety audits and ensure OSHA, NFPA compliance.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers.
• Assist in developing junior technicians and improving BAS skills.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
