Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Lead Engineer in Spring, TX to oversee critical building systems, supervise maintenance staff, and coordinate contractors. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards.

You will train staff and ensure compliant documentation within the CMMS. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in building engineering management, strong HVAC and electrical knowledge, and experience with IWMS and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC.
• 5+ years of building engineering management or related supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mission critical cooling, power, mechanical and fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with Electrical/Arc Flash Safety standards (NFPA 70E) and safety best practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and IWMS software.
• Ability to communicate clearly and produce written reports.
• Willingness to work shift, weekends and be on-call 24/7/365.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance staff to meet service level requirements.
• Oversee contractors and service providers ensuring safety and quality.
• Manage the CMMS for engineering tasks, tracking planned/reactive work.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement corrective actions for HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on training and supervision to operations staff.
• Ensure all work orders are created, completed, and closed with proper documentation.
