Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Architect to lead enclosure consulting on diverse projects. You will manage projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical liaison with clients, architects, engineers, and owners to deliver practical building envelope solutions.

You will oversee testing, investigations, commissioning (BECx), design reviews, and peer reviews, while staying current with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, SMACNA, and CSI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB)
• 5+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments
• Registered Architect (R.A.) licensure is required
• IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBECxP) preferred
• BECxP, CxA+BE certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage building enclosure projects from setup through completion.
• Coordinate project teams and direct site activities with field staff, subcontractors, and senior managers.
• Prepare and review proposals, change orders, budgets, and invoices.
• Monitor project progress and communicate schedule updates, testing activities, and potential budget impacts.
• Communicate project milestones with clients and advise on significant project changes.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise field personnel performing inspections and testing.
