Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a Building Enclosure Senior Project Architect to join the Florida Building Science + Infrastructure team in Jacksonville, FL. You will manage building enclosure consulting projects, lead technical investigations, testing, and design reviews, and mentor junior staff while working with clients, contractors, engineers, and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 5+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Registered Architect licensure is required.
• Preferred certifications: IIBEC (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP) and UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure projects from setup through completion.
• Coordinate project teams and direct field activities with staff, subcontractors, and managers.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise inspections and testing.
• Prepare and review proposals, budgets, and change orders.
• Develop testing plans and assess test results for deficiencies.
• Ensure reports meet professional standards and are approved by Principal.
