Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced professional for on-site service, design, and commissioning of building control systems at NBAF in Manhattan, Kansas. The role focuses on ensuring proper operation, reliability, and integration of HVAC and low-voltage subsystems for a single on-site customer.
The candidate should bring extensive experience in control systems, software development for building controls, and strong collaboration with service teams to deliver safe, efficient plant
Qualifications
- 15+ years experience with a High School Diploma or 8+ years with an engineering degree.
- Knowledge of construction, service, or HVAC industries.
- Experience integrating low voltage subsystems using industry protocols (e.g., BACnet, LON).
- Able to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced computer skills with drafting tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure and service complex building control systems for client facilities.
- Create diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs, network layouts and schematics.
- Develop and test software to meet facility requirements and validate system functionality.
- Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Assist in loading, commissioning, and training owner/operators.
