Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a senior Service Controls Technician to design, configure and service highly complex building control systems at a major Kansas facility. You will develop software, create submittals, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and safety.
The role requires extensive HVAC experience, control theory knowledge, and proficiency with low-voltage subsystems and drafting tools.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction/service or HVAC industry
- Understanding of control theory and building automation systems
- Experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, and similar protocols
Responsibilities
- Design, configure and service complex building control systems for customer facilities
- Develop and test software programs for operating building control systems
- Produce drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
- Coordinate with sales, service and subcontractors and provide progress updates
- Assist in site training for owners/operators on the building control system
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality expectations
