Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an engineer to lead controls design using direct digital controls across building types. You will review contract documents, create drawings, and transition projects to service while developing advanced sequences of operations.

The role requires HVAC/building automation familiarity, drafting software experience, and a valid driver’s license. Occasional travel to construction sites is expected as part of project management and design work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or three (3) plus years in HVAC project management or estimating.
• Familiarity with operation and design of HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls.
• Experience with drafting/design software is required.
• Windows OS and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites within the district.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Builds controls design using direct digital controls for various building types and automation systems.
• Reviews contract docs, proposals, mechanical plans, specs, estimates for automation system design.
• Creates installation, submittal, as‑built drawings and transitions to service.
• Develops advanced sequences of operations meeting project requirements.
• Generates Operation and Maintenance manuals and reviews contract docs and surveys.
