Job summary
Trane Technologies seeks a Senior Controls Technician to manage programming and commissioning of complex building automation systems on client sites across the U.S. This role collaborates with PMs and field technicians to ensure high-quality system performance and validation, while supporting hardware and software design validation activities.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in HVAC controls, strong knowledge of Trane product offerings, and willingness to travel 75%+.
Qualifications
- 5+ years HVAC controls experience.
- Proficiency in operation and design of HVAC systems and building automation.
- Experience with programming, commissioning and startup of Trane control systems; familiarity with major systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, program, checkout and commission complex building automation systems.
- Review and maintain installation and programming standards.
- Acquire and maintain expertise in Trane controls and third-party devices.
- Serve as subject matter expert in Trane controls.
- Provide support and remote connected support for field installations.
- Advise and guide Field Technicians, Engineers and sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
