Job summary

University of Louisville Health Sciences Center seeks a Control Technician III to install, program, startup, and maintain building automation systems for campus facilities. You will work with BACnet, pneumatic and electronic controls, and support energy management efforts.

This on-site role requires being on-call. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED with four years related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to report to campus during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least four years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable by the University's carrier.
• On-site presence required; participation in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to temperature, humidity, and airflow issues; troubleshoot building systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control systems.
• Upgrade building automation and control systems for energy efficiency.
• Maintain records of tests, inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate work with occupants and other trades.
• Perform database verifications and backups on digital control panels.
• Install and calibrate HVAC equipment to improve energy efficiency.
• Monitor BAS via graphical user interface.
