Job summary

University of Louisville is seeking an Automation Systems Specialist IV to oversee the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of pneumatic, electric, electronic, and direct digital controls for building HVAC systems.

The role requires experience with installation, programming, start-up, commissioning, and integration of direct digital control systems and the ability to generate web-based graphics, alarms, and trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Six (6) years of relevant experience with pneumatics, electrical and digital HVAC control devices, systems and their applications.
Valid driver's license required and insurable by the University's carrier.
Experience with installation, programming, start-up, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of one or more direct digital control systems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and commission BAS and EMS.
Manage contractor specifications, problems, performance, and administration.
Assist in the acceptance phase of commissioning construction projects.
Troubleshoot software, electrical or pneumatic issues with BAS and EMS.
Generate reports and recommendations on performance and maintenance of equipment and systems.
Other duties as assigned by Senior Manager, Physical Plant Maintenance.
