Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Code Scalability team to tackle build systems and CI at scale. You will work on Bazel configuration, Buildkite orchestration, build execution and caching, and the services that support them across a large monorepo.

You will lead platform improvements from design through rollout, mentor teammates, and measure latency, reliability, and resource usage while keeping developer workflows fast and predictable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including developer infrastructure.
• Experience with build/CI systems at scale and monorepos is a plus.
• Strong debugging and software design skills in Go, Java, Kotlin or Python.

Responsibilities

• Solve engineering problems behind building software at scale across a monorepo.
• Develop Bazel rules, toolchains, and integrations for reproducible builds.
• Improve Buildkite throughput and reliability, optimize CI pipelines.
• Reduce redundant work with caching, incremental builds, and parallelism.
• Build developer tools to diagnose failures and reproduce CI locally.
• Lead platform improvements from design through rollout and mentor teammates.
