Hybrid role with some in-office time, reporting to an Engineering Manager. The role emphasizes transitioning from monoliths to microservices, optimizing performance, and influencing tech Stack decisions that drive business impact.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, service oriented architecture, and databases.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases like Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Develop, release and run large-scale web applications.
• Define the backend architecture and tech stack for a product area.
• Improve performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.
• Transition from monolithic codebase to microservices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize business impact.
