Job summary

Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) seeks a Budget Supervisor to lead advanced budget preparation and analysis efforts for the agency. You will develop guidelines, coordinate department budget activities, and supervise budget staff under the Assistant Director of Budget and CFO.

Responsibilities include forecasting, cost estimation, preparing budget reports, and communicating with stakeholders. A four-year degree and 5 years of budget-related experience, plus 2 years of supervisory

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related field.
• Five years of budget preparation, finance, or financial analysis experience.
• Two years of supervisory or team-lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, and monitors the work of Budget Analysts; sets performance standards and trains staff.
• Coordinates responses to fiscal note requests and oversees forecasting for reliable cost estimates.
• Develops methodologies for operating budget analysis and forecasting with trend data.
