Job summary

Employees Retirement System of Texas is seeking a Data Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex data analysis and research for ERS benefit programs. The role involves data gathering, reporting, and visualization to support GBP programs, with supervision by the Data Science and Analytics team manager.

Ideal candidates will have a science/analytic degree and 2–3 years of data analysis experience, including familiarity with SQL Server, R, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in science, mathematics, or similar analytic field.
• Two to three years of work experience in data or statistical analysis.
• Experience with SQL Server, R, and Tableau preferred.
• Healthcare/insurance data analysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs data gathering and analysis for ERS benefit programs; insurance, flexible benefits, Medicare Part D and actuarial consulting.
• Analyzes claim and premium experience to determine financial integrity of each plan.
• Develops data dashboards using Tableau to track GBP program metrics.
