Job summary

Evertz Microsystems is seeking a Broadcast Engineer in Burbank, CA to support and maintain advanced broadcast video systems. You will act as an expert advisor, monitor systems, handle incident resolution, and coordinate with teams to ensure project delivery.

The role requires Unix/Linux and Windows troubleshooting, strong communication, and a willingness to relocate for long-term on-site support in California.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent broadcast experience (preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative to resolve problems independently.
• Willing to relocate to California for long-term on-site support.
• Preference for candidates with working knowledge of one or more Evertz platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as an expert level technical advisor on complex broadcast initiatives.
• Monitor systems and verify the integrity and availability of broadcast hardware, servers, systems and key processes; review logs.
• Manage incidents per SLA and ensure resolution.
• Be single point of contact for multiple support cases simultaneously.
• Provide feedback on solution requirements, designs and operational guidelines.
• Coordinate with peer departments and customers to ensure delivery of project deliverables.
• Establish testing requirements to evaluate designs and validate platforms.
• Document departmental and technical procedures.
