Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of technical experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with video signal generating equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with a live, multi-camera room preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology and production.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the broadcast system engineering operations.

What You Will Do
  • Programming knowledge of Evertz EQX baseband router. Working knowledge of Grass Valley Kayenne switchers, Sony camera systems (HDC-2500 or better) and Calrec Apollo or Artemis audio consoles a plus.
  • Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in mobile television facilities desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in technical aspects of on site television production with progressive broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., and be willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs. (should not seek to do over 50 lbs. without assistance).
  • Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the broadcast system/facility.
  • Manage and monitor the broadcast system engineering operations at NEP Studios.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting while executing changes and engineering updates on the broadcast system.
  • Direct the activities of crew members related to the operation of the broadcast system.
  • Follow through on repairs, inventory needs, and updates.
  • Provide on-site client service and technical support.
  • Maintain and file the proper expense reports and technical reports on a per show or other designated basis.
  • Ensure proper set-up of cameras and other related video equipment.
  • Configure and optimize multiple broadcast and satellite feed/receive links for audio and video quality.
  • Monitor and adjust signals using state of the art equipment such as spectrum analyzers, video waveform monitors, and audio/video/data analyzers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred. Various forms of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2 years of technical experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with video signal generating equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with a live, multi-camera room preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
