Job summary

FOX News Channel is seeking a skilled Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of a 24/7/365 television broadcast. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across automated master control, control rooms, and studio production equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in TV Engineering with a strong IT background and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT. Night and weekend work are required, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in TV Engineering with strong IT background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and repairs on broadcast equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted broadcast operations.
• Maintain and repair systems such as Automated Master Control, Production Control Rooms, Studio Production equipment, and more.
• Assist in the design, construction, and commissioning of new technologies at the Studio, Transmitter, and Remote Facilities.
• Collaborate with team members to support operational needs and enhance system performance.
• Familiarity with Grass Valley ITX, Sony switchers and ELC, Ross Robotics, Bit Central Playout is beneficial.
