Job summary

FOX Television Stations’ WITI FOX6 seeks a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to keep our 24/7/365 operation running smoothly through preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and precise equipment installation.

You will work with the engineering team on system integration, provide technical support during live events, manage network security, train staff, perform updates, and collaborate across departments to ensure minimal airtime interruptions.

Qualifications

Experience in television/radio broadcast engineering or related technical field preferred.
Equipment knowledge includes Ross OverDrive, TriCaster, Chyron, Sony ENG/PTZ cameras, GatesAir transmitters, Dante, NDI, SMPTE 2110.
IT or Electronics certificate and/or AS Degree required.

Responsibilities

System Integration: design, install, test, and document new hardware/software systems with engineering team.
Technical Support: provide rapid troubleshooting and repairs to minimize airtime interruptions during live/production events.
Network Security: manage and maintain data networks following Information Security policies.
Operational Training: act as a technical resource, train operational staff on daily workflows and equipment use.
Preventative Maintenance: perform routine software/hardware updates and system checks.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: deliver internal customer service ensuring departments have necessary tools.
