Job summary

Fox Television Stations (FTS) is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer for WITI FOX6, a FOX-owned station. The role focuses on keeping the 24/7/365 broadcast operation seamless through preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and precise equipment installation.

The technician will work with Ross OverDrive, TriCaster, Chyron, Sony ENG/PTZ cameras, GatesAir transmitters, Dante audio, NDI, and SMPTE 2110, and must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 40 pounds, and work nights, weekends,

Qualifications

Experience in television/radio broadcast engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
Knowledge of broadcast and network systems is required; RF workflow experience is a major plus.
Ability to anticipate operational needs and act proactively under pressure.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the engineering team to design, install, test, and document new hardware and software systems.
Provide rapid troubleshooting and repairs to minimize airtime interruptions for live and production events.
Manage and maintain data networks while adhering to Information Security policies.
Act as a technical resource, providing guidance and training to operational staff on daily workflows and equipment use.
Conduct routine software/hardware updates and system checks to uphold high engineering standards.
Deliver exceptional internal customer service to ensure all departments have the tools they need to succeed.
