Job summary

FOX Television Stations in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to join its 24/7 broadcast operation. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair Master Control, production rooms, studio equipment, cameras, and remote ENG gear.

The role requires 5+ years in TV engineering with IT know-how and experience with virtualized environments; a Bachelor's in Engineering or IT is preferred, and night/weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of TV engineering experience.
• Strong IT background with knowledge of Virtual Machine Environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or IT is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends is a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and repairs on broadcast equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted broadcast operations.
• Maintain and repair systems such as Automated Master Control, Production Control Rooms, Studio Production equipment, and more.
• Assist in the design, construction, and commissioning of new technologies at the Studio, Transmitter, and Remote Facilities.
• Collaborate with team members to support operational needs and enhance system performance.
• Familiarity with Grass Valley ITX, Sony switchers and ELC, Ross Robotics, Bit Central Playout is beneficial.
