Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Director to join our Carolinas Bridge practice. This hybrid role may be located in Columbia, Rock Hill, or Charleston, SC, with opportunities to expand to other SC locations for highly qualified candidates.

The candidate will manage, analyze, design, and inspect highway, rail, and pedestrian bridges, interact with clients, and contribute to business development. ENR Top 50 firm, with growth opportunities in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required.
• SCDOT, NCDOT, GDOT, and/or rail experience is a plus; NBIS certification is a plus.
• Strong skills in structural analysis and capacity to lead transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects involving bridge/structural design and rehabilitation.
• Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
• Lead structural design on transportation projects and mentor junior staff.
• Serve as project manager or bridge design task lead as needed.
• Collaborate with clients to develop budgets, schedules, and delivery plans.
