Job summary

Stantec in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Senior Structural / Bridge Engineer to join the Transportation team. You will apply design criteria, prepare plans, and manage inspections on bridges and related structures, contributing to safe, durable infrastructure.

Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering, a Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and 10+ years in transportation structures. Master’s preferred; strong CAD/analysis software experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• FL PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years in transportation roadway, structures and bridge design/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Select and apply design criteria for minor bridge design and load rating.
• Prepare engineering documents: design calculations, specifications, and estimates.
• Create contract drawings for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, signal structures.
• Perform field inspections and condition assessments.
• Identify and address technical problems with corrective actions.
• Use STAAD, Leap Bridge, MathCAD for design and analysis.
• Prepare working/final drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
