Job summary

Stantec in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Senior Structural / Bridge Engineer to join the Transportation team. You will apply design criteria, prepare plans, and manage inspections on bridges and related structures, contributing to safe, durable infrastructure.

Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering, a Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and 10+ years in transportation structures. Master’s preferred; strong CAD/analysis software experience is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
FL PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
10+ years in transportation roadway, structures and bridge design/analysis.

Responsibilities

Select and apply design criteria for minor bridge design and load rating.
Prepare engineering documents: design calculations, specifications, and estimates.
Create contract drawings for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, signal structures.
Perform field inspections and condition assessments.
Identify and address technical problems with corrective actions.
Use STAAD, Leap Bridge, MathCAD for design and analysis.
Prepare working/final drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
