Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol seeks a Senior Bridge and Transportation Structures Engineer to lead design, analysis, and rehabilitation projects across Florida. You’ll guide structural approaches, mentor staff, and maintain key client relationships while advancing company-wide engineering standards.

The role requires PE licensure in Florida, 18+ years in bridge engineering, and a track record of business development and project leadership across diverse transport structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in Florida required.
• 18+ years of experience with management and technical leadership of structural/bridge projects; client relationships and proposals.
• Experience with bridge design, analysis, load rating, and rehabilitation; knowledge of AASHTO LRFD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships across Florida; manage subconsultants.
• Set strategy and lead business development for assigned offices; prepare proposals and expand transportation structures scope.
• Establish standards for structural analysis of bridges and related structures; oversee design for construction and rehabilitation.
• Lead structural design, analysis, and peer review on bridge projects; supervise engineers on projects.
• Provide load rating and inspection support; apply AASHTO LRFD and related standards.
• Set internal and industry engineering standards; guide tool strategy and technology adoption.
• Monitor project scope and budget; review deliverables before submission to clients.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; act as technical resource and industry leader.
