Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Bridge Engineering Project Manager for our Melville or Manhattan office. The role involves leading bridge design projects for NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDOT and other NY agencies, coordinating with clients and staff across concurrent projects to ensure quality delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while maintaining schedules and budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• New York State Professional Engineer license is required; New Jersey PE is a plus.
• 12+ years of experience in the bridge industry.
• Experience working in a team environment and providing technical direction to a design team.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large bridge design projects.
• Maintain schedules and budgets to meet contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants and clients.
• Direct and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Review calculations and guide design procedures per AASHTO or other standards.
