Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a Senior Bridge Design Engineer in Melville, NY, to lead complex bridge projects, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence within our Structures group.

The role requires 20+ years of bridge design, NY PE, and a strong track record with AASHTO and NYSDOT standards; you will collaborate with public-sector clients and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, durable infrastructure while growing GPI’s bridge practice in New York.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer license required; New York PE required.
• 20+ years of bridge design experience, including complex transportation structures.
• Extensive knowledge of AASHTO, NYSDOT, NYCDOT standards.
• Proven experience leading design teams and managing large-scale projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with industry-standard structural analysis and design software.

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee the planning, analysis, and design of bridge and structural projects
• Serve as Engineer of Record on major bridge projects
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality control for junior and mid-level engineers
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders, including NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and local municipalities
• Review plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance
• Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to GPI’s high standards of quality
