Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Melville or Manhattan offices. You will perform structural analysis and design for new and rehabilitated bridges and ensure documents meet NYSDOT standards.

The role involves coordinating with Project Managers, Designers, and various agencies while mentoring junior engineers. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, an EIT, and 5–10 years in the bridge field. NY State PE preferred; NJ a plus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• EIT required; NYS PE preferred (NJ a plus)
• 5–10 years bridge industry experience
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating with PMs and agencies

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of new and rehabilitated bridges
• Prepare documents meeting NYSDOT drafting standards and QA/QC requirements
• Participate in or lead bridge inspections
• Work independently while coordinating with PMs, Designers, and agencies
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy
