Job summary

LJB Inc. in Kernersville, NC is seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to lead and grow our Transportation Practice. You will manage bridge projects, coordinate with clients and sub-consultants, and guide multidisciplinary teams across transportation disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• P.E. license.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
• Experience working with DOTs.
• MS degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Certified PMP a plus.
• Project team leadership experience.
• Project and client management experience.
• MicroStation/OpenRoads/AutoCAD/Civil-3D software experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, fees, and profitability of projects and portfolios.
• Serve as point person with clients as project manager.
• Assist in new sales with clients for which you manage projects.
• Coordinate internal disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Understand transportation disciplines related to bridges.
• Assist Deputy Operations Manager in PM best practices.
• On large projects, may not be involved directly in design.
• Report employee performance to Operations Management.
• Support staffing for future projects.
