Job summary
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Construction Bridge Engineer in California to lead senior-level engineering oversight on complex bridge and guideway projects, including CAHSR. You will review design documents, lead technical teams, and coordinate with regulators, consultants, and contractors to ensure safe and compliant delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required, PE license preferred.
- 8–15 years in bridge/structural or transportation engineering; 18 years without a degree.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, seismic design, and bridge construction.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with design reviews, RFIs, submittals, and construction planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level engineering oversight for design, construction, inspection, and acceptance of bridges and related structures.
- Lead technical reviews of plans, specifications, calculations, RFIs, and design modifications.
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, regulators, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary technical activities.
- Support QA, safety, schedule, and cost considerations; respond to technical issues.
