Job summary

Jaquith Consulting Group seeks an experienced Railroad Bridge Engineer to provide engineering oversight, technical review, and construction support for railroad bridge and guideway structures tied to the CAHSR project.

The role oversees reviewing bridge designs, evaluating submittals, resolving field issues, and ensuring compliance with project specs, standards, and regulatory requirements. This position serves as a technical liaison among design, construction, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in bridge design/construction or 9+ years with no degree.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, seismic design.

Responsibilities

• Support construction, inspection, and acceptance of railroad bridges and related structures.
• Review design plans, calculations, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and work plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and regulators to resolve issues.
