Job summary
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Construction Bridge Engineer to provide senior-level engineering leadership on complex bridge infrastructure projects, including the California High-Speed Rail program. The role focuses on technical oversight, design reviews, and coordination with design consultants, construction teams, and regulators.
The position requires extensive bridge/structural experience, strong communication, and mentoring abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- PE license in California or ability to obtain within six months.
- 15+ years of bridge/structural/transportation experience; 10+ preferred.
- Experience with AREMA, AASHTO LRFD, Caltrans standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level engineering oversight for design and construction of bridges and related structures.
- Lead technical reviews of plans, specs, calculations, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
- Perform complex structural analyses including concrete, steel, foundations, and seismic systems.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and regulators to resolve issues.
- Mentor junior staff and review inspection and quality documentation.
