Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead and deliver bridge and structural projects across Florida and the broader region. You will guide junior staff, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with DOTs, municipalities, and contractors to advance transportation infrastructure.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of bridge design experience, and a proven ability to mentor teams while delivering compliant designs using Bentley/OpenBridge, MIDAS Civil, and other industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience.
• Experience with state DOT standards (DOT or comparable).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver bridge and structural projects, providing technical direction while overseeing plans, calculations, specifications, and QA/QC compliance with DOT and AASHTO LRFD standards.
• Apply deep expertise in bridge design and analysis using Bentley Open Bridge Designer, MIDAS Civil, and related tools to develop high‑quality engineering solutions.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with accountability for delivery, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, developing junior engineers and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Perform and oversee bridge inspections and load ratings, delivering accurate reports and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and clearly communicate technical concepts.
• Support business development, including proposals, scope/fee development, and client engagement; represent the firm in meetings and conferences.
