Job summary

COWI A/S is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in North America to lead bridge design projects and manage client relations, budgets, and schedules. You will direct engineering teams, perform structural analysis, and prepare technical documents across complex bridge projects.

Ideal candidates have 8–15 years in bridge design, a Civil Engineering degree with a structures focus, and PE licensure or eligibility in VA/MD/DC, plus experience with 3D modeling tools such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structures focus; master's degree preferred.
• 8–15 years of Bridge Design and Project Management experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in VA, MD, DC or ability to obtain.
• Experience with complex bridges and 3D structural modeling.
• Experience with proposals and leading business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of engineers and technicians on drawings and calculations.
• Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Perform structural analysis, design and calculations.
• Prepare specifications, reports and technical documents.
• Research design options for technical and financial impact.
• Coordinate with clients and other professionals.
