Job summary

COWI in North America is seeking a Bridge Engineer (PE) to contribute to landmark infrastructure projects in Florida and beyond. You will collaborate with the Technical Director and project teams to analyze complex structures, prepare design calculations, and deliver clear technical documents.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Structural Engineering, Florida PE or eligibility within 6 months, and 5+ years in bridge design, with experience in AASHTO codes and software such as SOFiSTiK,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in bridge design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for bridge projects.
• Assist senior engineers in proposals, project coordination, and client communications.
• Prepare design calculations and drawings per applicable design codes; generate engineering reports.
• Prepare standard construction documents including specifications and tender documents.
• Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit studies.
• Provide support during construction including submittal reviews and site visits.
