COWI A/S is seeking a highly experienced Bridge Engineer to contribute to North America infrastructure projects from Seattle. You will work with a Technical Director and Project Managers, delivering across the lifecycle of major bridge projects with local and remote collaboration.

The role requires a Civil/Structural background, PE licensure (or ability to obtain within 12 months), and 8+ years in bridge design, with proficiency in design codes like AASHTO and software such as MDX, LARSA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• PE licensure in home state or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 8+ years of related experience in Bridge Design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with analysis of complex structures.
• Coordinate with senior engineers on proposals, projects, and client communications.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documents.
• Develop standard construction documents like specs and proposals.
• Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit studies.
• Support construction with submittal reviews and site visits; perform other duties as needed.
• Supervise junior engineers in designs and documentation.
