Job summary

COWI in Florida is seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to contribute to challenging infrastructure projects across North America. You will work with a Technical Director and Project Managers alongside our customers on high-profile bridges, with both local and remote collaborators.

A Master’s in Structural Engineering and a Florida PE (or eligibility within 6 months) are required, with 5+ years of bridge design experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering required.
• FL PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of bridge design experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work plans, schedules, budgets, and perform complex structure analyses.
• Assist senior engineers in proposals, project coordination, and client communications.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical documents per codes.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and tender docs.
• Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit studies.
• Support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits.
