Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a qualified engineer to contribute to design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans across diverse infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers to research, develop, and deliver designs using current tools like MicroStation and AutoCAD, while mentoring junior staff when needed.

The role emphasizes process optimization, time management, and cross-discipline coordination to ensure successful project delivery for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 2 years.
• Experience producing design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• FDOT project development experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in the development of project specifications.
• Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
• Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
