The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking an Experienced Bridge Engineer to lead innovative bridge and structural projects across Michigan, with hybrid work options.

Join our Transportation and Structural Engineering team to plan, design, and deliver projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multi-disciplinary groups and clients. Requirements include a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, 8+ years in bridge design, Michigan PE license, MDOT experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of bridge design and structural engineering experience.
• Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience with MDOT and/or MDOT LAP projects.
• Proficiency with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform bridge and structural design per MDOT/AASHTO standards.
• Contribute to project lifecycle from concept to construction.
• Prepare layouts, quantity calculations, and construction specifications.
• Perform QA/QC reviews for technical accuracy.
• Coordinate with roadway, geotechnical, and other teams.
• Manage and coordinate projects and client communication.
• Mentor and support other engineers while growing leadership.
