Job summary

GCW, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV seeks a bridge structural engineer to lead planning, analysis, design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.

You will provide technical leadership for bridge, retaining wall, and related structures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects meet schedule, budget and client standards.

Experience with AASHTO LRFD and NDOT requirements is highly valued, as is the ability to support business development efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• MS in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum four years of bridge design experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee bridge design, load rating, rehabilitation, widening, and replacement projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, NDOT requirements, and applicable ACI, AISC, and building codes.
• Coordinate project schedules and budgets.
• Review and approve engineering work products for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project development and construction.
• Participate in project meetings, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction engineering services.
