Job summary

GCW, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a bridge design engineer to lead planning, analysis, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.

The role provides technical leadership for bridges, retaining walls, and related structures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and design standards. Requirements include BS in Civil Engineering, 4+ years in bridge design, Nevada PE license or eligibility within 6 months, and a MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Nevada Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire.
• Minimum four years of bridge design experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee bridge design, load rating, rehabilitation, widening, and replacement projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD, NDOT requirements, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate project schedules and budgets.
• Review and approve engineering work products for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams during development and construction.
• Participate in project meetings, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction engineering services.
• Design bridges utilizing AASHTO LRFD; design buildings with IBC; design retaining walls; design flood control structures; water reservoirs and pump stations; perform structural analysis.
