Job summary
CDM Smith in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our expanding bridge design practice. You will provide technical leadership on a wide range of bridge projects—from routine rehab to signature structures—serving MassDOT, MBTA, Massport, and other major owners throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering; PE license preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
- Domestic and/or international travel; travel frequency contingent on project needs.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Lead bridge design projects across Massachusetts and New England.
- Oversee scoping, alternatives analysis, and PS&E development.
- Design steel, concrete, prestressed, and post-tensioned bridges.
- Design supporting structures like walls, foundations, gantries.
- Perform load ratings and inspections; contribute to rehab efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
- Collaborate to expand the Massachusetts and New England bridge practice.
