Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Marlborough, MA to lead complex bridge design and rehabilitation projects for MassDOT and local clients. The role emphasizes technical ownership, coordination across disciplines, and mentorship of junior staff in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates bring a PE in MA, 8+ years in bridge engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and LRFD, and strong communication skills to support project delivery from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis and MSCE preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in structural bridge engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (MA) required.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, LRFD design, and bridge manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, analysis, and design of bridge projects for MassDOT and others.
• Perform structural calculations, load ratings, and rehab evaluations.
• Prepare contract plans, specs, estimates, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, and construction teams.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC for bridge design tasks.
