Job summary

HNTB in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an engineer to lead production and modification of design calculations, reports, and plans for diverse projects. You will work with the project manager, applying engineering criteria and delivering high-quality designs using CAD tools and current software.

The role expects a Bachelor’s in Engineering with several years of experience, strong communication, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or higher degrees with less required experience.
Experience developing discipline-specific engineering deliverables such as reports, designs and plans.
Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation/AutoCAD) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
Assist in the development of project specifications.
Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
Aid in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
Work closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Perform other duties as assigned.
