Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior engineer to produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans for diverse projects. You will consult with the project manager, apply engineering criteria, and leverage knowledge to solve design issues through creative problem solving.

You will develop conceptual and detailed designs using current tools and software, mentor junior staff, and contribute to on-time, on-budget project delivery for our client base.

Qualifications

• Requires strong technical knowledge across engineering disciplines.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget on complex projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Apply senior-level technical expertise to a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Lead discipline planning, work distribution, and schedule adherence on complex projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort, manage adherence to budget.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the discipline.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Coordinate with client counterparts and teaming partners on multi-discipline work.
• Lead discipline delivery on large, multi-disciplinary projects.
