Job summary

French & Parrello Associates in Wall Township, NJ seeks an experienced Bridge Department Manager to lead our Bridge Department and serve as Senior Project Manager on transportation and bridge assignments throughout New Jersey and the Northeast.

You will mentor staff, cultivate relationships with NJDOT and public agencies, manage scope, schedule, budget, and contribute to growth of FPA’s bridge practice while delivering innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; New Jersey PE license preferred or can be obtained via reciprocity.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in bridge/transportation engineering.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams and managing a technical department.
• Strong technical background in bridge design, rehabilitation, replacement, inspection, load rating.
• Experience with NJDOT and public-sector clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge Department, overseeing project delivery, staffing, resource allocation, and department performance.
• Serve as Senior Project Manager/Project Manager on complex bridge and transportation projects from planning through construction.
• Provide technical leadership on bridge design, rehabilitation, inspection, and load rating.
• Mentor staff, recruit, and develop engineering talent; support department growth.
• Build and maintain client relationships with NJDOT, transportation authorities, counties, and municipalities.
