Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Senior Brand Manager for our pro audience to define how we position the company, articulate promises to pros, and bring that promise to life across touchpoints. You will report to the Director of Brand Strategy and guide major workstreams while shaping how the organization views the pro side of the brand.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of brand marketing experience with emphasis on strategy, positioning, and messaging.
• Experience defining and implementing brand strategy, promises, positioning frameworks, playbooks, and messaging architecture.
• Experience setting brand vision and roadmap and influencing upstream decisions beyond campaigns.
• Experience designing and managing brand health measurement programs and translating findings into action.
• Strong creative judgment with ability to guide agencies and internal studios via briefs.
• Experience designing and running creative experiments to improve campaigns and inform brand strategy.
• Aptitude for analytical rigor, synthesizing data into insights and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead foundational workstreams to roll out the new brand playbook, define pro positioning and content strategy, and refresh artifacts as markets shift.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to drive growth for the pro segment and translate into briefs and direction for partners.
• Own pro brand insights work, including audience deep dives, competitive analysis, and brand health tracking.
• Partner with Marketing and Communications to translate pro brand strategy into an integrated content calendar.
• Collaborate with product, service, and sales to extend brand vision across disciplines.
• Lead brand support for AI-driven content, building prompts and review systems to scale content creation.
• Orchestrate brand strategy for tentpole moments including campaigns, product launches, and events like Pro Summit.
• Serve as a senior voice on the Brand Strategy team, setting standards and aligning with leadership.
