Job summary

OceanFirst Bank seeks a Branch Manager for the Springfield location to oversee the retail branch’s financial performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to policies. You will develop annual growth plans to increase branch profit, drive community engagement, and lead staff to execute the growth strategy.

You will mentor staff, coach on sales techniques, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering personalized banking services.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and retain an effective team.
• Retail sales experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Branch operations, sales, and banking regulations.
• Experience interfacing with multiple departments and personnel at various levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in banking software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth plans to achieve sales, productivity, financial growth, customer service, and community goals.
• Provide leadership to branch staff in execution of branch goals.
• Coach staff on sales techniques to develop new customer relationships and referral skills.
• Apply product knowledge to develop and expand customer relationships; cross-sell Bank products.
• Market Bank products to the community and call on clients to generate business.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and train staff on operations.
• Develop and maintain community involvement through participation or board memberships.
• Provide personalized banking services to current and prospective customers.
• Manage branch budget and financial performance.
• Recruit, hire, and develop staff with regular performance reviews.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Travel as required across the company footprint.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and policy guidelines.
• Cross-train staff across functions.
