Job summary

Hassle Free Home Services is hiring a Bookkeeper to manage the full transaction cycle, from payables and receivables to reconciliations and payroll, plus compliance tasks across each market we operate in. You will work closely with our accountant and CFO to ensure accurate, current financials and timely closes.

This role emphasizes detail-oriented work, monthly routines, and the ability to finish reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Full accounting cycle knowledge: AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Familiarity with multi-state tax registrations, licensing, and compliance filings, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines independently, with minimal supervision.
• Discretion handling confidential financial and employee information, and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks and code daily transactions.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections follow-up.
• Track job-level costs to support project profitability reporting.
• Support the monthly close and year-end prep with the accountant, CFO, and CPA.
• Review timesheets for payroll processing accuracy.
• Administer PTO tracking, accruals, and year-end carryover.
• Maintain payroll deductions and employee records, including benefits and garnishments.
• Process new hire documentation and state registrations.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment and annual open enrollment.
